Task App

Discipline | UI, UX

Duration | 8 Weeks

Introduction

Problem

I wanted to make an app for the stressed-out college student. It can be a lot to manage everything from classes, to work, to homework, to social time, to clubs and activities, or whatever else they need to plan week to week.

Direction

I tailored the app specifically to students by making their class schedule, work, homework, social and other events so they could be filtered out or overlayed to identify conflicts. I looked for a tactile, colorful theme for the experience.

Information Architecture and Flows

In the overall flow for the application, the highlighted sections depict when the student would actually be using the app.

Flow 1: Adding a Task

add-task

This flow shows how the student would use the app to enter a new assignment and manually input the information, such as: due date, location, alert, tag, and any additional notes.
